Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) is better known under her professional title Ari Lennox is an American musician and singer born in Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be associated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. Her first EP, Pho on October 21 2016, was released by Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in notoriety. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It was released in May of 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading her tracks to the Internet in 2012, when she released her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox continued uploading her music on the internet, including her self-released single Bound. On July 21st, 2015. Omen featured her on Elephant Eyes the track Sweat It Out. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's remark. Then, later in the season, the music was played all over Dreamville. She officially was signed to Dreamville Records on 8 December. In the record Revenge of the Dreamers II She was on the track Backseat with Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016, her debut EP was released titled Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's song Change and performed as an opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. In 2018, Ari Lennox guested on two tracks by EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, as well as Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on July 16, 2018. A music video then released in September. On the 9th of November the singer released two more singles called 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). In November, 13, she released two additional singles titled No One and Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby was released in her debut single February 26, 2019, to accompany the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby was featured along with Cole as part of her Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. The track was made available with a video posted on YouTube February 20, 2019 has been watched over 3 million times in the first 7 days. The singer was a part of 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour back in December of 2018.
